The Shere Log Cabin is an attractive, spacious garden building which is the perfect addition to any property. Taking some key features from two of our most popular cabins, namely the Delta and Siberian, we have created we believe to be a superb hybrid. The Shere is an extremely attractive cabin which main features include large, full length, double doors and windows, helping the cabin make full use of the natural light available. These windows come with FREE toughened glass as standard. Constructed from 44mm interlocking logs, the Shere Log Cabin is sure to last for years to come. All sizes come with draft sealed double doors and joiner made opening windows, ensuring your cabin will be both warm and secure. Optionally you can upgrade to our heavy duty coloured shingles and guttering to really complete this log cabin.
As with all Tiger Log Cabins, assembly is made incredibly easy, with a modular floor and easy fit log system. Ideal as an outdoor office or simply an outdoor space, we are sure you will enjoy spending hours within it.
IMPORTANT - When deciding where to buy a log cabin from there are some vital features and attributes you must look at before buying. Our log cabins are easily the highest quality you will find. Here's why:
LOG THICKNESS AND TIMBER QUALITY - This log cabin comes with high quality 44mm interlocking logs made from European softwood. Cheap competitor imitations tend to come with rough edged boards machined from poor quality cheaper Baltic softwood.
UNIQUE LOG NOTCH SYSTEM - This log cabin features a unique and specially designed 4-way tight fit chamfered notch system, leaving little room for damp or wind penetration. Cheap competitor imitation log cabins often feature square cut logs and square notch-joints which will then leave the logs with a sloppy joint and large visible gaps.
UK DESIGNED, MACHINED & MANUFACTURED - We have our own mill here in Yorkshire, owned and staffed entirely by us where we have complete control to oversee the quality of the timber - any timber found inferior is simply not used. We then take care of the whole manufacturing packing and delivery process ourselves, in house! Cheap competitor imitation log cabins are generally imported leaving you with no idea where it has come from and who has been responsible for its manufacture.
DOORS AND WINDOWS - This log cabin features oversized extra large doors and windows, which are professionally joiner made, draft sealed and silicone beaded internally and externally. Cheap competitor imitation log cabins generally come with smaller ill-fitting doors and windows which are hung externally using low quality pin hinges - these are more prone to twisting and warping.
LOG CABIN HEIGHT - This log cabin is extremely high at both the eaves and the ridge providing a maximum useable space within a given footprint base size. We can offer to reduce this for no extra charge. Many cheap competitor imitation log cabins are already very low and not flexible enough to offer variance in heights.
LOCKING SYSTEM - This log cabin features decorative brass handles with a high quality three lever lock - the sort of locks you would find installed on the door of a house or secure office. The majority of competitor imitation log cabins use cheap and less secure European cylinder locks putting your belongings at risk.
ROOF MATERIAL - This log cabins features heavy duty black mineral roofing felt as standard, with the easy option to upgrade to premium quality roof shingles, available in red, green, brown, or black. Cheap competitor imitation log cabins sometimes come with no roof covering, leaving the log cabin completely open to the elements.

It is essential that all garden buildings are assembled on a firm and level base constructed from an appropriate and durable material.
Without the correct base, buildings may be very difficult to assemble. In many cases, an incorrect base may lead to future deterioration of the product if assembly cannot be completed correctly as a result. Problems may include doors dropping out of square and becoming difficult to open and close, and/or water leakage.
Assembling a garden building on an incorrect base is also likely to invalidate any guarantee that your product may carry.
For full details and examples of how to create an appropriate base visit our Build a Base Guide.

Roofing shingles are a good addition to completing a log cabin, and are quite straightforward to install - and can be fitted over existing (or new) roofing felt for an extra layer of weatherproofing.
They are durable, hardwearing and low maintenance, and add a significant upgrade for weather protection and insulation.
They are available in a popular selection of colours.

We advise a tape measure, spirit level, sharp knife, wood saw, screwdriver, spanner, drill, ladder, hammer and a rubber mallet as tools for putting any log cabin together. The rubber headed mallet is especially important to tap the logs together for a tight fit without marking or damaging the timber. We would strongly advise a white rubber mallet as it is less likely to mark the bare timber: these are easily available from any DIY store for around £10.
If you have ordered the installation option when purchasing your garden building, the Installation team will contact you after the delivery to arrange for assembly to take place.
